We honestly didn’t know what to do with ourselves when Love Island ended. At first it was really hard – when 9pm rolled around we felt empty inside. Gradually the struggle got easier, but that hasn’t stopped us craving our Love Island fix. Well guess what? Christmas just came early because ITV have confirmed there will be a Love Island Christmas special. We’re so ready for the drama.
Despite most of the couples having split up since the show ended, 19 of this year’s contestants have been confirmed to return to the festive special. Obviously this year’s winners Jack and Dani will be there joined by Megan and Wes, Kaz, Laura A, Paul, Georgia, Sam, Ellie, Charlie, Samira, Dr. Alex, Alexandra, Kendall, Hayley, Eyal, Adam and Zara. Plus, Caroline Flack will present with Iain Stirling narrating; it wouldn’t be Love Island without them. Although not everyone is making a comeback with Jack Fowler, Laura C, Rosie, Frankie and Niall all confirming they won’t be appearing on the special episode; guess they just can’t handle the drama.
“Escaping to a festive retreat, the Islanders will lift the lid on the dramatic breakups and tabloid headlines that have played out since departing the villa”. ITV has told viewers to expect “awkward conversations, old tensions resurfaced and maybe one or two mistletoe moments as this Summer’s biggest TV talking point raises one last festive glass to the class of 2018….”
The Love Island Christmas Special will air on ITV2 on Monday 17 December at 9pm. See you there!
