Did you know that it’s been 25 years since the beloved TV sitcom Friends started up, giving people a weekly dose of happiness in the form of a 23-min episode? We’ll let that sink in for a moment.
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, toy maker LEGO is releasing a new collectable set hitting stores on 1 September, featuring the iconic Central Perk cafe, complete with a stage for Phoebe to sing Smelly Cat.
Fans will soon be able to build and recreate the famous hangout spot using the 1,079-piece collection along with seven new mini-figures of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe and Gunther. Oh, and if playing Lego isn’t your thing, there’s a Monopoly Friends game on the market, too.
It seems like after 236 episodes and countless repeats, 25 years later, we still can’t get enough of Friends – because an audience that claps together, stays together.
