Celebs Go Dating is fast becoming one of our favourite reality TV shows; it combines our love of reality TV with our unashamed nosiness into other people’s love lives to create one absolute corker of a show.
Good news then if you’re as obsessed as us because the doors to the Celebrity Dating Agency are opening again for the sixth series and we honestly couldn’t be happier. This year’s cast of celebs looks like one of the best yet and there’s even a new dating coach joining the cast after Eden and Nadia quit last year.
So if, like us, you can’t wait to watch a bunch of C-list celebs looking for love, here’s everything you need to know about the new series…
When does it start?
Jack Fowler from last year’s Love Island somewhat bizarrely revealed the start date while going down a water slide. The brand new series will start on Sunday 24 February 2019 at 9pm. Popcorn at the ready.
Which celebs are on it?
In past series’ we’ve seen the likes of Joey Essex, Olivia Attwood and Gemma Collins on the show in search of love, but the line-up for this series has got to be one of the best yet. Here’s the full list of the celebrity singletons looking for love at the agency this year.
Georgia Steel, Love Island 2018 contestant
Fresh from her split with Love Island beau Sam Bird, Georgia is back in the game and ready to find love. She says she’s on the look out for a boy to keep her on her toes, saying “I get bored dead easily.” But will anyone be loyal enough for Georgia?
Pete Wicks, The Only Way Is Essex cast member
TOWIE star Pete was last seen dating co-star Shelby Tribble before calling it quits after eight months, which doesn’t seem surprising since he signed up for the show because he “can’t keep hold of a bird.” But, we’re most excited to see how he interacts with fellow celeb and ex-girlfriend Megan McKenna. Which leads us nicely on to the next celeb in our list…
Megan McKenna, Reality TV star who has appeared in Celebrity Big Brother, Ex on the Beach and TOWIE
She’s been on pretty much every other type of reality TV, so we’re not surprised to see Megan on the lookout for love on CGD. Fans of TOWIE will know she had a pretty turbulent relationship with ex Pete Wicks, who will also be on this series, so it will be pretty interesting to see how these two get on. Get ready for drama.
Sam Thompson, Made in Chelsea cast member
Fans of the show will know that this isn’t Sam’s first rodeo, having appeared in series four of the show. He said, “I’ve had a rough old run in the love stakes so I’m back to my spiritual home at the dating agency! It’s about time I got lucky in love.” Hopefully he’ll have better luck the second time around…
Kerry Katona, former Atomic Kitten singer and TV personality
Former girl band member, Kerry Katona, is well-known for being unlucky in love having been married three times and recently splitting from her boyfriend. She said “I’ve never done anything like this before. If what I’ve been doing before hasn’t been working I may as well try something new! I’ve been on dating apps but to be honest they didn’t work. I’m so excited to be joining the agency and see who Anna and Paul set me up with!”
Jack Fowler, Love Island 2018 contestant
Jack was announced as a late surprise addition to this year’s series, but we couldn’t be happier because he’ll add some much-needed drama (and eye candy) to the lineup. Remember when he and Georgia Steel kissed on Love Island and it caused major ripples through the villa? Well, we’re hoping for a repeat of that…
Chelsee Healey, Hollyoaks actress
Soap Star Chelsee is best known for playing one of the infamous McQueen clan on Hollyoaks. She split from ex-boyfriend days before giving birth to her daughter in July 2017 which makes her pretty unlucky in love in our book. She says she wants to find someone “worth” spending time with; don’t we all?
David Potts, from Ibiza Weekender
David has commented that he hopes to be leaving the show engaged – possibly a bit ambitious but we respect his positive attitude. He’s admitted that he’s “rubbish at finding love”, so hopefully the experts can help him find Mr Right.
Who are the experts?
Last year it was revealed that Nadia Essex would not be reprising her role on the show following a feud with co-star Eden Blackman, who also previously left. To replace Nadia the producers have brought new expert Anna Williamson on board who will join Paul Carrick Brunson. And of course fan favourite receptionist Tom Read Wilson will be back for series six along with narrator Rob Beckett and online presenter Joey Essex.
Where can you watch it?
The sixth series of Celebs Go Dating will be aired on E4 at 9pm on Sunday – Thursday nights for four weeks.
