We never thought we’d say it, but we’re fully over Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Why, you ask? Because Costa’s new festive drinks menu has dropped and we’re drooling over every single one. Here’s everything you need to know, from the new rising stars to the coffees of Christmas past…
New Christmas Creations
Caramelised Orange & Cream Latte/ Hot Chocolate
These two newbies are inspired by the most iconic Christmas combo we know: Chocolate and Orange. They’re made using Costa’s signature blends of coffee or hot chocolate and combined with a zesty orange syrup – the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. The deliciously smooth drinks are then topped with a swirl of cream and a caramelised orange slice. Yum.
Hazelnut Praline & Cream Latte/ Hot Chocolate
Continuing the chocolate theme (because chocolate = life) Costa have created the Hazelnut Praline & Cream Latte and Hazelnut Praline & Cream Hot Chocolate. Their signature coffee or chocolate base is blended with hazelnut syrup, atop a thick layer of Belgian Chocolate sauce topped with a lashings of cream and Costa’s new invention; Crispy Chocolate Truffle Crumb. We’ll take one of each, please.
Luxury Hot Chocolate/ Luxury Caramel
Part of Costa’s new Little Luxuries range, these small but perfectly formed drink options contain less than 200 calories each – does this mean we can try two at a time? The Luxury Chocolate flavour is rich, dark and decadent whilst the Luxury Caramel is made up of silky, hot caramel and topped with creamy milk foam. We have a feeling these are going to be our new 4pm pick-me-ups…
Back by popular demand
Gingerbread and Cream Latte/ Hot Chocolate
The Gingerbread & Cream Latte and Hot Chocolate also make a welcome return; gingerbread syrup, cream, and the best bit: Costa’s famous Gingerbread Man, Charlie, to top it off. It’s like Christmas in a cup.
Black Forest Hot Chocolate
We are SO excited to have this back in our lives. Hot choccie flavoured with black cherry sauce, lashings of cream, shimmery chocolate curls and a drizzle of cherry sauce. Show us a better drink.
Hot Spiced Apple
For the coffee haters out there (we see you) there’s a tasty, just-as-Christmassy alternative for you to warm yourself up with – hot apple juice spiced with cinnamon and an optional dried orange slice. We love a coffee, but we could be swayed for one of these bad boys..
All new drinks launch on Thursday 1st November.
