We thought we had a good relationship with Nando’s, but it looks like the restaurant has been keeping a pretty big secret from us, and let’s just say we feel personally victimised.
Turns out, Nando’s have a secret breakfast menu which, can you believe, they launched in 2016?! And, not to be dramatic, but it looks like it might be the best breakfast ever. You can expect the usual breakfast suspects like pancakes, french toast and porridge. But Nando’s have also put their own spin on classic options like eggs benedict with chicken and PERi-hollandaise, and graced us with their take on a full English with chicken sausage, fiery beans and crispy sweetcorn fritters; we could easily demolish both of them.
Other options include breakfast rolls with halloumi, chicken sausage, avocado or tomato and your choice of PERi-PERi-heat, spicy beans and eggs on toast and chicken omelette. And of course, it wouldn’t be a trip to Nando’s without the option of PERi-PERi ½ chicken or a chicken burger in a Portuguese roll with PERi-PERi chips. Yum.
Unfortunately, the breakfast menu is only available in two places until 11am – Gatwick Airport and Cobham service station. Personally, we can’t think of a better way to start a holiday or break up a drive around the M25. Alas, Nando’s have said there are currently no plans to roll out the breakfast menu nationwide. Why? Nando’s, why?
