Fans of Greggs’ now iconic vegan sausage roll get ready to rejoice, because McDonald’s are (hopefully!) adding to your list of vegan-ified fast food fixes. A rep for the chain has confirmed to American news outlet today.com they’re trialing vegan ‘chicken’ nuggets in Norway, and we have a feeling they’ll be winging their way to the UK soon after.
Made from mashed potato, chickpea, onion, carrot and corn, the mix is shaped, coated in a layer of breadcrumbs and fried until they resemble the nugz we all know and love.
While the vegan nuggets are only available in Norway right now, based on the popularity of their Veganuary veggie menu additions, we’d bet on them gracing our shores soon too *fingers crossed*.
