Even the biggest burger fanatics among us cannot claim to have eaten their way through the Five Guys menu. With over 250,000 possible ways to order a burger (yep, you read that correctly) it would take you approximately 684 years to try them all. Fine, challenge accepted.
Five Guys have an array of 15 (free!) toppings and will make your burger any way you like it. But with great choice comes great responsibility, so to help you make this important decision, we tried a eight of their more…interesting combinations all in the name of, ahem, research.
The Monster Burger
For when you feel like one burger just isn’t enough order this epic combination. This one is truly monstrous.
What to ask for: Order a cheeseburger with as many toppings as you can pile on. Then order a ‘little’ bacon cheeseburger, remove one of the buns and place the little burger on top of the big one, creating one monster burger. Good luck fitting this one in your mouth!
The Presidential Burger (aka The Obama Burger)
Rumoured to be Barack Obama’s favourite burger, he has been spotted ordering this on several occasions at Five Guys. Well, if it’s good enough for an ex-President it’s definitely good enough for us!
What to ask for: Order a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, spicy jalapeno peppers and mustard.
The Double-Double Burger
If, like most of us, you don’t live in America then you won’t be able to get hold of the legendary In-N-Out Animal style burger. But luckily you can still achieve a very similar result by ordering The Double-Double at Five Guys.
What to ask for: A cheeseburger with an extra slice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and pickle. Ask for mayo, ketchup and relish on the side, mix it up and smother your burger in it!
The Nice & Spicy Burger
This one is not for the faint hearted – if you’re a fan of all things hot ‘n’ spicy then this one’s for you. This is essentially a cheeseburger with lots of added spice and some fries thrown inside for good measure – what’s not to like?
What to ask for: A cheeseburger with grilled onions, jalapenos, pickles, relish and hot sauce. Order a portion of Cajun-style fries and then put some of these inside the burger – carb overload.
The Texas BBQ Burger
Inspired by the Domino’s Texas BBQ pizza, this delicious combination is simple but not to be overlooked.
What to ask for: Order a bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions, green peppers and BBQ sauce.
The Farmhouse Burger
Another Domino’s inspired combination, this time by the Farmhouse pizza. Loaded with veggies, this is a great option for vegetarians if you substitute the beef burger for a veggie patty and ditch the bacon. Customise with sauce and enjoy!
What to ask for: A bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms, green peppers, onions, tomatoes and a sauce of your choice.
The Breakfast Burger
Although Five Guys do actually have a breakfast sandwich, so if you can’t wait until the morning then this one is for you; it’s got everything but the egg.
What to ask for: A bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, ketchup and HP sauce. Then order a hot dog and put the sausage inside the burger – trust us, it works.
The All the Way Burger
When you can’t decide which toppings to have, go all the way. This one is actually on the menu so just ask for your choice of burger all the way. Go hard or go home we say.
What to ask for: Order any burger (we tried this with a bacon cheeseburger), all the way. That means it’ll come with mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, mushrooms, ketchup and mustard.
