Kim K’s make-up artist swears by this weird hack to get her dewy glow

We have a lot to learn from the Kardashians: OTT festive home decor, what to wear for party season, workout tips and even how to organise our fridges. But their most important lesson has to be the importance of highlighter; after all, they’ve practically built their empire on those glowy cheekbones (and certain other famous assets). Thankfully, Kim K’s insta-famous make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic has the perfect, if slightly strange, trick to making sure your highlighter is on point.

Talking to Vogue, Mario shared his favourite highlighter, which actually turned out not to be a highlighter at all: “I love to use an emollient balm on areas of the face, like the cheekbones and brow bones. It gives a very expensive, healthy-looking glow that reflects beautifully without any powdery or shimmery texture on the skin. Recently I’ve been loving the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder Glow, which I sweep lightly across cheeks. It doesn’t leave a heavy-looking texture behind. Then I follow by patting a bit of lip balm right over it with my fingers. The reflection is heavenly.”

Lip balm? Sounds weird right, but we put our faith in Mario who counts Khloe & Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall & Kylie Jenner, Ariana Grande and J-Lo amongst his A-list clientele. The Laura Mercier powder is infused with pearl pigments which give skin a luminous healthy glow without looking cakey or OTT while creating a soft-focus effect which blurs the appearance of fine lines and imperfections. Plus, it has a no flashback formula meaning it’ll look great in photos too, and we all know that’s the most important thing.
